Our Visit to Mark, Caitlin, Scotlyn, and Caleb
I finally talked Tim into taking some time off work and going to visit the kids in Vegas. Tim hates to do anything that does not help him with his art, so we took the back way to Marysvale to stop and see Bishop Marshall. He was not there, but Martine showed us around. They have made lots of improvements since we were last there and are to the point that they have guests and are staying booked. We were excited to see their success and their dreams reached. We then stopped at Cedar to pick up parts. The owner was talkative this time and spent more time with Dad which was good because then he figures out parts that Dad could use. We then needed to stop at Logandale to drop off a quilt at Robin's and check some other stuff that Dad had. So it was a long trip. When we got to Henderson, Scotlyn and Caitlin were waiting for us. Scotlyn looked at Dad and I and was not too thrilled. Dad held out his hand to pick her up and Scotlyn shook her head. He tried bribing her with a cookie. She took the cookie but stayed with Mom. When we went to the park the next day, she had Mom push her on the swing and then me and we had gotten her out and were all sitting there watching her and she came to mom and then grandma and then grandpa and held out her arms to grandpa. Once he picked her up, she pointed to the swings. She now has him wrapped around her finger as well. We loved our visit. It was way too short, but still good enough for a Scotlyn fix. We loved seeing Caleb as well and Caitlin and Mark. It is so much easier to talk person to person rather than over the phone, and so nice to do mundane chores together.
