Arriving at Grandma and Grandpa's

Caitlin said that Scotlyn loves to dance and we were able to get her to dance for us. She is so cute. She loved all the attention.

Mark, Caitlin, and Scotlyn come to visit

Caitlin and Mark were able to come and spend a week with us. YEAH!! (July 10 - 17, 2009) We had so much fun and it is so good to be able to interact with Scotlyn in day to day activities. To be able to feed her and put her to sleep and to play with her. She was getting to where she would come to me and want me to pick her up. We spent several mornings together while Mommy slept and she went on my walks 2 times. She even went to the stroller and wanted in to go for a walk. Following are some of the things that we did when they were here. We were also able to visit the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. We all enjoyed the experience and it is a beautiful temple. Grandpa and Grandma Woodrum got a 15 set domino game, so we spent one night playing dominoes. Mark won with the help of Kyler.

Ducks in trouble

The Ducks are in trouble!! They have eaten the neighbors garden that is in our yard. They ate his peppers down to nothing as well as 3 of my melons. Why don't they eat the squash bugs that are taking over? They are finally fenced in, but 2 of the chickens got loose and were going for the tomatoes. I hope the eggs are worth it.

7 Ducks!

It is fun having ducks and watching them.  They are getting more used to us and don't run away all the time.  They are naughty girls though and have been eating the garden (we were told they eat the bugs not the plants).  They have eaten 6 tomatoes, 3 watermelon, 1 cucumber, 2 honeydew, peas, and pepper plants.  Bad Girls!!  They love to run thru the sprinklers and before we had all the rain, would sit under the sprinklers all day. They go everywhere together.

June 7, Scotlyn's first birthday

We celebrated Saturday the 6th.  Caitlin had planned that we go to the park.  The girls had filled up water balloons and Caitlin had strawberry shortcake (gluten free for Lynzie and I) and ice cream cake.  Of course, the balloons got thrown some before water volleyball could be played.  Silly string also got involved, but we had fun.  Scotlyn wasn't quite sure what to do.  Mark says we sang to her, but I don't remember doing so.  With my memory, that could be true.  It was just fun getting together and having Scotlyn be the center of attention as she should.  She is so dang Cute!!!

Lance's Latest 5/19/09

We talked to Lance on Mother's  Day.  He sounded really good.  He had trouble thinking of english words, but was in good spirits.  He is training again and is baptizing and working hard.

Crista's 16th Birthday

We had dinner at home for Crista's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Woodrum, Lorelee, Tayla, Kyler, Aubrey, and us.  She was invited to Prom which is 2 days after her birthday.  Her date gave her 16 balloons with a naked juice.
